Common Signs and Symptoms

Excessive Daytime Sleepiness

  • Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea often experience excessive daytime sleepiness due to the lack of restorative sleep.

Snoring

  • Snoring is often a sign of an issue with airflow to the lungs.

Hypertension

  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is often a recognized cause of secondary hypertension.

We often have patients tell us they would know or their bed partner would know if they have Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Unfortunately, you do not know unless you have the test. If you snore, this could be a sign you have an airway issue that needs treatment, but you can have sleep apnea and not snore. A sleep test is the best way to determine if you have this serious health condition.

You can be tested in a hospital lab setting or at home with a home sleep test.
